Before asking about submission, ask about leadership.
This week presses hard, and it is meant to. The conversation about submission almost always starts in the wrong place — with what she owes. Scripture starts it somewhere else entirely: with what he gives.
Christ initiates. Christ protects. Christ lays himself down. That is the standard a husband is measured against, and it is a far heavier thing than being obeyed. Strength under control is not passivity and it is not dominance. It is power that has been trained to serve.
